Dream Maker
Our Dream Maker initiative has helped people’s dreams come true. From empowering an ambitious and hopeful farmer to take his operations to the next level to helping a budding entrepreneur launch a car-wash business, we’re proud to have helped ? dreamers across 4 countries bring their dreams to life so far.
To this day, Dream Maker's impact is not only felt by the individual dreamers, but also by their families and communities and hopefully future generations too.
Responsible Betting
betPawa champion responsible gaming in Africa. As part of our Play Responsibly initiative, we have helped establish responsible gaming support measures across multiple African countries, including a Responsible Gaming Call Center at the Gaming Commission of Ghana, where we provided IT equipment.
More so, we have fostered partnerships with independent specialists, including the Serenity Harm Reduction Programme in Zambia (SHARPZ), the Heart to Heart Initiative in Uganda and the Imanzi Counselling and Rehabilitation Center in Rwanda.
Through these collaborations, we educate people on betting as a leisure activity and provide compassionate care to anyone concerned by their relationship with betting.
As a brand, betPawa prioritise the importance of responsible gaming as a core value in our business.
All eyes on Africa
With such a strong presence in every country that we operate in, we know what’s important to the people in our communities. We honour tradition in striving to help create a bright future.
One example was our participation in Rwanda’s annual commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. We visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, making a 1.5 Million RWF donation, and contributed 13.5 Million RWF to local youth-led NGO Our Past Initiative’s house renovation for four families of survivors.
Win BIG, Give Back
With Win BIG, Give Back, betPawa matched the winnings of selected BIG winners in Ghana and Kenya so they could donate to a cause close to their hearts. This ensured that not only individuals won BIG, but entire communities.
From creating new boreholes in a region with water shortages to providing farming equipment to promote self-sustainability in communities, betPawa worked with BIG winners to ensure all Win BIG, Give Back projects were heartfelt and immensely valuable to everyone involved.
Positive change
We cover all angles in looking to drive positive lasting change throughout Africa. There’s no initiative too BIG or too small: we want to make a difference to as many people as possible.
Whether it’s providing protective gear to boda boda riders in Kampala, protecting market workers from the sun and the rain with aprons and umbrellas across Accra or promoting road safety to motorcyclists in Dar es Salaam, we’re always searching for new ways to contribute.
