Cameroonian music trio go global with betPawa at Trace Awards
Popular Cameroonian artists Maahlox Le Vibeur, Koppo and Mani Bella - famed for hit song ‘Les Gros Ways’ - are set to feature at the global music powerhouse Trace’s music festival slated for this weekend, following a partnership with betPawa.
The prestigious music and creative industry event which also marks Trace’s 20th anniversary, kicks off today at the BK Indoor Arena in Kigali, Rwanda. The festival will give the trio a global platform to showcase their talent and tap into the creative industry’s key networks. It features a three-hour live televised music ceremony, a two-day cultural festival designed to empower music creators and fans, an awards tour and screenings in Africa, Europe, the USA, the UK, Brazil, the Indian Ocean and the Caribbean.
“Getting to these awards and the festival is a platform that any African musician dreams of. It is a very prestigious event that shines the global spotlight on the talented artists we have in the continent. I am so excited to be part of this, thanks to betPawa’s support,” said Mani Bella.
“Les Gros Ways is a catchy song that we use to sensitise people to bet responsibly and get the message ingrained in them in a fun and engaging way to make sure that punters act wisely when betting.”
betPawa’s Chief Commercial Officer Ntoudi Mouyelo said the brand tapped into the artists’ talent to promote responsible gaming in a way that is relatable to the customers.
“As a brand we are keen to support talent, be it in the creative industry or sports. This partnership not only gives us a platform to drive consumer engagement and behaviour, it also accords Mani Bella, Maahlox and Koppo the opportunity to exhibit their talent on a global stage through a powerful music entity - Trace,” Mouyelo said.
