Dream Maker - Meet the 20 Kenyan dreams betPawa will turn into reality
betPawa’s Dream Maker has been busy again, identifying another 20 inspiring Kenyan dreams to turn into reality.
The Dream Bus toured the country in October, with people across Nairobi, Kakamega, Eldoret, Nakuru and Mombasa invited to step inside and share their dreams. Many more entered online, with betPawa reviewing every single dream before settling on 20 to help bring to life.
David is expanding his Kajiado Central health facility to provide care to vulnerable groups in his community, especially children and pregnant women suffering from malnutrition. He said: “By promoting this facility, many people will enjoy affordable health benefits with efficiency.”
Violet’s Old Uganda Road Youth Group will open a glass recycling plant in Eldoret that will do even more than protect the environment. “It will help with providing employment to people living with disabilities and this will also enable them to support their families,” she explained.
Samuel returned to Kenya from Australia and was shocked by the scarcity of clean water in Makindu. Having drilled a borehole, the next step is to install a solar borehole pump. “This will improve the livelihood of Makindu as the community will be able to access water,” he noted.
Brian’s dream is to expand 001FM, which he calls “a beacon of hope and opportunity for the youth” in Mombasa County. He will purchase an FM frequency and essential equipment to reach a broader audience. This will help the station support local artists and offer educational content to empower the community with knowledge.
But that’s just four of the dreams. These are the other 16 dreams about to be fulfilled:
